I hated these guys at first but they're actually pretty cool. Especially when you realize all the areas in game that are directly caused by them. You have parts of forest with dead grass in snail patterns, rivers and falls that the fish caused by melting the rock, chasms caused by the bowl horse, and slopes of snow and cliffs caused by the sword cat. Probably the most thought they've put into a side set of legendaries ever.

This batch of legendaries is the first time I’ve really wished Pokémon games had actual quests with storylines. It would’ve been awesome to have to explore the areas these mons “ruined” to find clues as to their whereabouts, learning more about them along the way.
As it is now you just randomly stumble across stakes in the ground. It’s a real missed opportunity.

a better seal would’ve been actually hiding the stakes

Random 10 year old with a Pokemon that can travel all terrain. Everyone else was relying on Cyclizar and the taxi to travel around. Some of them are hidden way too well.

I like these designs, I really do, but they're so stylistically far from Pokemon that I can't see them as part of the same series. They look like they're from an MMORPG. There's too much detail in certain features and not enough in others. Am I autistic or does anyone else feel this way?

I don't agree. I like that they're not all the same thing like previous legends. I really hated the copypasta lake spirits, genies, and tapus we've had before.So getting something that actually feels rare and legend for once is nice.

Well they're not real animals, their bodies are constructs made by the relics, so of course they look off.
Wo-chien isn't a real snail like Magcargo or Sliggoo, it's just a pile of dead plants shaped like a snail.

They are less extreme than most UB, do you also dislike UB? Compared with monstrosities such as Buzzwole, Guzzlord, Naganadel or Blacephalon they are 100% more Pokémon in style and design.

It's the extremely overt asian influence in their design. Even with pokemon that people tried to associate with China before like Rayquaza, they were always objectively wrong in the end because Fug's actual design is completely unique and focused more on a tech design. These pokemon however literally have capital A Asian artifacts slapped onto their design with magatama eyes.

The art here looks fine, but whatever program used to increase the resolution in OP looks terrible. The bowl deer (I can't keep their names straight) looks slightly off still, but I think it's because of the photo itself - the lighting is different from the other 3.
I love them all (especially the snail and the fish), and the art makes me appreciate them all eve more.

I think the bowl's meant to just have rust on it. That said, it does look like blood and the Scarlet 'dex says that it had "fear" poured into it.

Bowls like those were used for ritual sacrifice. Carved out hearts and stuff, but theyll obscure the nasty bits because this is a childrens game.

They're called 驼鹿 (Tuólù), literally "camel deer". Moose are actually native to Northeastern China and Mongolia, albeit quite rare, so it would not be a foreign animal for them.
