>>52736376It’s not so much that DLC in the upper area and over the mountain is Southern Kalos, so much as it could be a region bordering both regions. There’s plenty of Kalos Pokémon here, and coming in the DLC, that just make it very likely for Kalos to get mentioned in someway.
And for all we know, AZ’s Kingdom existed over a thousand years before Paldea’s Empire. Whose to say AZ’s Kingdom wasn’t made up of both Kalos and Paldea, and the very war that ruined AZ’s life, friendship, and Kingdom, allowed for the eventual establishment of the Paldean Empire as a separate nation and Kingdom.
Also AZ’s Floette has the stats, which can be reworked, to match Paradox Pokémon. It looks similarly enough to a normal Floette it could easily be mistaken for one, save it’s body coloration matches neither normal nor shiny variations, and the flower it holds is entirely alien enough I could imagine it be something akin to the Herba Mystica, something entirely not native at all to this world.
