mostly stuff from gens 2-5 because I prefer that era to all the others (gen 2's chiptunes are peak, but gen 3 trumpets and sinnoh's pianos give it a run for their money
while gen 5 simply grants nostalgia). too lazy to try remixes because I don't want to shit up my recommended with them and a lot of the appeal for me is the chiptunes in the first place
some good stuff in gens 6+ but I feel they're lacking even in comparison to gen 1 honestly
