baxcalibur lacks the coverage to answer to its counters, sure it can never get burned, but so can a lum berry on hax, and that's more for the flexibility of potential status or confusion
Haxorus has done wonders for me, and on a few occassions, soloing entire teams. Max attack, max speed, adamant nature, mold breaker with a lum berry, outrage, earthquake, poison jab, and d-dance is an extremely effective set that crushes just about everything it comes across.
The things holding baxcalibur back is the lack of coverage for its checks and its ice typing defensively.
Maushold has better utility with tidy up by far, but does not have the same answers and variety of moves that work with its ability like cinccino does. Population bomb isn't gonna do shit to a ghost, bullet seed less so if it has a resistant dual type. If maushold didn't have tidy up it probably would be significantly worse overall.
Garganacl is just the first time a rock type has ever been good. The one thing that has always been insufferable about rock types is their lack of sustain for their potential bulk, as often they have terrible defensive dual typings and are generally slow. More rock types need recovery moves of their own to even compare.
Mawile as a base pokemon in comparison to tinkaton, obviously tinkaton is better, but if you're comparing overall potential, mawile's mega is extremely invaluable, especially in doubles.
The only thing Orthworm has over steelix is ground immunity and shed tail, otherwise it's statistically worse defensively across both stats.
