Not trying to start a genwar, I think Gen 5 is fine enough. But why does this gen's music get touted as something exceptional?
>Town themes: literally all forgettable except lacunosa, humilau and driftveil, the one where that Himalayan jogger does his mating call isnt forgettable but it's not good
>Route themes: literally all forgettable except route 10
>BW rival theme is terrible, Hugh's is just ok
>gym leader theme barely even sounds like a boss fight
>legend theme is terrible and literally just becomes a mess of white noise at one part
>the villain themes are mostly fine, I guess
>elite 4 theme and BW champion are also terrible
It's a mixed bag, there are some really good tracks in there but for the most part those are the tracks people always default to because everything else just kind of sucks. Other than Gen 1 it easily is the lowest overall quality OST of the first 5 gens

It's a mixed bag, there are some really good tracks in there but for the most part those are the tracks people always default to because everything else just kind of sucks. Other than Gen 1 it easily is the lowest overall quality OST of the first 5 gens
