Bulbasaur is useful in essential battles but quite an ass in casual matches. It learns Razor Leaf at Lv 30, but before that, you're stuck with Vine Whip, which only has 10 PP! Prime example, you're in the middle of a cave, you beat about 3 Hikers, and boom, Vine Whip is gone. You either have to continue the cave with just Tackle or waltz back to the nearest Poke Center for Vine Whip. Also, most of the common mons resist Grass (Spearows, Ekans, Nidorans, Weedles, etc). Not counting Bulbasaur's 4x weak to Zubat, who can harass poor Bulba with Leech Life because team Rocket enjoyed using it. Kinda annoying most of the time if you ask me.
>>52776718Feraligatr and Typh are really equal in gen II. For speedrunners, Feraligatr is way better because Rage is the best option in the early game, you can skip Sprout Tower unlike in gen IV.
