Gen 3 gets a lot of flack for having too much water, but finding stuff like this made it all worth it.

Not that anon, but the fact the pokemon that were cut can be brought into RSE/FRLG via Pokemon Colloseum and Gale of Darkness, means that there really that bad. Of course now these games coat a fuck ton. And you'll need a specific link cable, and a Game Cube/GBA

You would be right, aside from Abysal Ruins, there are zero interesting uses of water or diving dungeon in Pokemon. Even in Alola the other tropical region.

I actually agree. I want diving and finding abandoned places in the middle of the sea again. Alola was so disappointing when I thought they would really bring back expansive seas.
