I don't know why B/W gets such flak for the Region Lock. By Sinnoh, people were openly tired of seeing the same handful of mons over and over. I went in blind and it was fucking great. Were some of them disappointing? Of course, Liepard is right there. Did I make bros for life? Damn skippy, Mandibuzz is my favorite Flying type.

I can concede that. Almost all of the evolution levels were made with B/W's level curve and mon distribution in mind specifically so things got weird as soon as B2/W2. Larvesta, the exclusive birds, Pawniard and the Deino line are the biggest examples of this.

It's more that Gen V was aimed at people who felt like they were growing out of Pokemon as they got older so they upped the trainer age to match. That and it tied into B/W's theme of "understanding that the world is much different than your pre-conceptions." That fits more with someone about to hit adulthood.

based. totally, based. what about kalos? that's my favorite region. i absolutely adore x and y! those games will always be my childhood, no matter what. they may be really easy, but i really loved the atmosphere and aesthetic they had. the cities.. the music.. you could tell that the people making the game truly had a passion for what they were doing
