>>52793016>Why would I randomly have a Pokemon I want to EV train sitting in my party doing nothing?I have no idea. Why would you? That sounds stupid.
But why assume a party of pokemon to only be either fully EV trained or completely untrained?
I usually try to exert at least some EV growth control over even my initial party of 6, my starter included. Why take that away from me?
Even if I can fix it in post by feeding them EV resetting items, actually being able to have some influence on it prior to that point is not a bad thing at all.
Also. Giving everyone the same EVs is an issue in itself because it gives everyone the same or at least very similar EV spreads.
And why do you think I can't touch competitive or even raise pokemon raised purely and specifically for competitive, just because I also kind of care how my initial team grows as well?
There is absolutely no defence for the exp.all being forced upon the player, unable to turn it off. And there is absolutely no good defence of the exp.all absolutely vomiting the EVs across the entire party.
