I can see Cyndaquil being the Rat given its Pokedex entry as the Fire Mouse Pokemon.
I can see Fennekin being the Dog since Foxes are canines and related to dogs.
But Snake and Crocodile don't really mix.
Not to mention Sprigatito and Quaxly break their starter patterns as well.
Sprig isn't an extinct species (You had to really stretch to make Venusaur and Rillaboom fit)
And Quax doesn't fix the semi-aquatic animal theme the rest have (Weapons theme was/is nonsense)
By all means though, convince me otherwise. I'm open to other perspectives here because I actually *like* the Zodiac theme.
