>>52801392Wide Guard is good to protect against multi-target moves, if your pokemon is an Iron Valiant it will be weak against Posion, Psychic, Fairy and Steel. There are two big multi-target moves going on about now, Make it Rain (Steel) and Expanding Force (Psychic) and the usual suspects (Eq, Muddy Water, Heat Wave, Icy Wind, etc). Corvi resists some of them, but in the end you'll have to do the calcs on the moves and consider that the enemy might expect Wide Guard and go for double single target moves, in which case your Corvi will do 0 to help it.
Other than maybe bounce an Intimidate if you rock Mirror Armor, which might be good enough by itself to prevent your Valliant to go -1. Really you have to check your whole team and what people are picking.
Reminder that Iron Valliant is not legal in VGC rules (ranked) yet.
