Its real world counterpart(Moncolle, which is to blame for the weird movement shit in only this one arc) is actually pretty hard to play and requires a lot of forethought.
Both the anime and manga show turns going past doing nothing so its not really that easy; most of it is just anime logic at work. So yeah if you want to think Ash can shit out solutions 24/7 then sure.
But he'd need to do this first try(most of the time he needs a lot of fucking time to even figure out a solution), and need to never interact with any sort of game of skill.
