Though I think its simply that they don't respect Johto/Gen2 due to it being a expansion of the Kanto/Gen1 unlike every other Generation thas was made to stand on its own. Hoenn was the first "reboot" which explains why Hoenn Starters gets all the love that would have gone to Johto (such as megas). Of course Game Freak were the ones stupid enough to make Gen2 a sequel in they first place, they could have easily made Johto "stand on its own", but Game Freak is prideful and stupid so they take their frustration out on the Gen2 starters.
>>52805699This is true. CHARIZARD is TPCs favorite and Venusuar is Game Freak's favorite (Masada called it the most "Pokemon" pokemon). Typhlosino and Meganium were intentionally sabotaged to make Charizard and Venusaur look better. Blastiose merely gets shilled due to association with CHARIZARD and Venusaur so Game Freak doesn't have an unhealthy worship of it, that's why Feraligatir is allowed to be good.
