>>52812991From Gen V onwards I think the only final stage I prefer to the middle stage are Decidueye, Rillaboom and Skeledirge just because the middle stages look so goofy. Skeledirge only really wins on a technicality though, because everyone knows Fuecoco was made to be everstoned. Chesnaught wins a dishonorable mention for literally the entire line being ugly as fuck.
Earlier gens I tend to like the final stage more except in specific cases like Wortortle or Combusken. Not that Combusken is a great design or anything, but it’s at least recognizable as a cartoon bird/chicken unlike whatever humanoid fire/fighting abomination Blaziken is supposed to be.
