Are there romhacks where I can pick any Pokémon to start with? I want to see how I can do with Machop

I'm pretty sure the pokemon randomization tool that works for like gen 1-5 games just has an option to replace the starter pokemon with whatever you choose. just use that

it'll ask for a rom file. have the rom of your game? if not, go get one and select it when it gives you the prompt

don't do anything except change your starter.

if you want to make things interesting, change a specific starter so a rival will have a type advantage (example: putting machop over bulbasaur so blue will pick charizard, which has flying type)

Muchas Thank-You's. Modding PC games is my thing, but anything other than downloading pre-made romhacks is all I'm experienced with for this sort of thing.
