Tatsugiri-Dondozo is very oppressive in VGC and Meowscarada's Flower Trick cuts through them like a hot knife through butter
Also has good versatility and some cool tech moves like Fake Tears and TR, has a phenomenal speed tier for what is a pretty slow meta and is pretty splashable on most teams

Right the crits ignore the boost. Well that's neat it's got a spot in comp for now and I liked that they gave it a bunch if utility moves instead of just having it as an attacker.

Murkrow is the only one with prankster tailwind right now and also has access to haze so it's a nice counter against dondozo combo and can also help you erase the drops from draco on hydreigon and string cheese signature move.

Hydreigon one of the most annoying bullshit right now. With Fairy tera it resist bug, fight and dragon, with Poison tera it resist fairy, fight, immune to ground kill psychics, it can snarl, tailwind, nuke shit with Draco and dark pulse, cannot be prankster when dark, good vs eruption and rain.

Not him, but worst case Tatsugiri still has an incredibly useful redirection ability in Storm Drain, a massive Special Attack, utility in Icy Wind, Spread damage in Muddy Water, and a nuke button in Draco Meteor. You'd never use Tatsugiri without the potential of Dondozo, but if you absolutely had to bring one without the other it's significantly less deadweight than the alternative

Tatsugiri is decent on it's own especially since most sets of it run scarf or focus sash. Dondozo on it's own without the boosts hits like a wet noodle and dies to any special attack thrown at it.

Trick Room and expanding force(Indeedee is already a thing you run in trick room; and since both can run it, you can't really "raw taunt" it either).
It can be weakness policy weak armor or trick room and sometimes that'll be hard to tell. Its unpredictable and hits like a truck basically.

Good enough speed, lots of hard hitting moves so it can also just be used as a general attacker with trick room as an option in the pocket.

Only in 1vs1. If you have to switch in Meowscarada just to stop a +2 Dondozo and it happens to use Order Up on your switch, then it's a +1 in Speed which means it will outspeed you and bring your HP down to zero with its second move.

That's a rare and random occasion though, I know. But most kiddies who don't know better than using Hyper Beam might go for that. And no one wants to lose against someone who is at Versifly-Level.

Because most people didn't work out how to get an ability patch. Overgrow requires your HP to drop below 33% and it does not happen very often to get low HP. That's not handy in VGC battles to hope for 67-99% damage.

That's what I'd do too if I have no Protean yet. Yes Protean was nerfed hard but I find it more useful to lose weaknesses and come around the corner with a fairy type cat or a pure grass one.

In polls like these, Ceruledge is sometimes higher. At other times, Armarouge is sometimes higher. Hard to tell which of the two is more popular.

Ceruledge wins in popularity but Armarouge is better in VGC. That said, Ceruledge is not bad in competitive either but it’s less flexible and depends on setting up so Arma is generally better.
