What are your thoughts on Type: Null/Silvally? I think a chimera mon imitating Arceus was a great idea. Why didn't it become the next Lucario?

Not furry enough.
Too complex of a design to make enough merch of.
Not available till postgame and no early media presence like Lucario and Zoroark so people couldn't get attached to it.
Didn't have a competitive gimmick like Dracovish's easy to understand meme potential.

Still like my #5 favorite Pokemon but I'm not gonna pretend that it was ever gonna be popular.

It's cool, but you get it too late, and it kind of sucks in comp due to no item and no ability.
If memories gave type bonuses like plates then maybe it'd have been kind of ok, but it probably should have just been able to switch types out of battle to keep the item slot open.

Silvally is weird because it and Cosmog are more plot characters than Pokemon. It feels like the game just half-heartedly hands you your own copy of Gladion's special Pokemon so you can complete your Pokedex. But it's still a Pokemon that's entirely associated with the character, to the point where SS's Pokedex entry mentions him.

Yeah I agree, I love the design and it was useful in raids in Sw/Sh, but losing an item slot really ruined the gimmick

Not enough good porn
You can't use her it until post game and to change the type you need to use the item slot, if they had give Silvally rotom's modality she it would have been more popular
