You know, this isn't necessarily a kind thing to say, but Arven is hella lucky he has neither parent in his life by the end of either version.

One ends up becoming so butt-fuckingly insane that a perfect AI duplicate points out the severe repercussions unleashing the Paradox Pokemon on Paldea will have, and is casually brushed aside, creates several contingencies upon contingencies dedicated to making sure their doomsday time machine can continue to work unceasingly, and completely overrides the will of their AI Duplicate to boot. But they saved our Version Legendary and died doing it, and also still loved Arven so it's okay somehow, I guess.

The other one saw all the warning signs, and had grown far enough apart from the whackjob that they decided the best course of action was to pack their bags and leave... only they FUCKING LEFT ARVEN WITH THE CRAZY ONE.
