This is just Dynamax but forever.

If we're using this concept, I'd rather they introduce giant species instead of making old Pokemon bigger for one of a kind specimens. New Pokémon species that are just ridiculously big like Wailord or bigger.

There’s plenty of precedent for fusions (Black/White Kyurem, Solgaleo/Lunala Necrozma, the upcoming Gen 2/5 Trio analgams) so I think it’s only a matter of time.
Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Gen 10’s big gimmick, as “you can fuse mons with Charizard” would be a pretty big selling point.
