As someone who never understood the fighting and just beat the game the other day I can say that things being "imagination" is retarded as fuck. I played Scarlet and the most I got from it is that the ai went back in time and I guess sided with original Sada in keeping the machine going (unless it was doing it all along). Haven't seen the Violet scenario to understand that one but I'm sure they don't leave it open to interpretation. Everything was direct when I played it and they never fucked around with it at all. The paradox is that the machine brings the pokemon to a point in time that they shouldn't exist with a machine that also shouldn't exist but it's all explained by the power of the tera crystals or w/e. Good enough for a children's game and looking any deeper is pure '/vp/ism.

That's not a paradox.

Play the rest of the game until you get to the scene with Arven where he draws attention to the fact that actually none of it adds up and he concludes that it was fake until his parent made it real.

The Paradox isn't imagination retard it already existed. The pokemon of the past and future exist and the time machines just begin the loop. We are never at a point outside of paradox pokemon existing in the games as far as the scarlet and im guessing violet books exist.

No they didn't. They came out of the machine.

There's no loop. The machine is claimed to function by catching pokemon in one time and bringing them to the present. It's not depositing pokemon in other time periods. And, in Violet, it's certainly not dropping future pokemon into Heath's time period 200 years ago. In order to explain this you have to headcanon some kind of time machine glitches which are never mentioned, which blows your whole cope about it being straightforward out of the water.

The game also gives plenty of evidence that there's more to the story than what the professor/AI lay out, like how Heath was considered a fraud because any future forays into the crater didn't find a single thing he wrote about, the Paradox Pokemon being in universe cryptids complete with tabloid articles, and the game itself saying the time machine thing doesn't make any sense because there's no actual way for the Pokemon brought to the present via time travel to have been written about in the Scarlet/Violet book 200 years before the time machine existed.
Combine this with the mystery disc Pokemon and other stuff like the professor's AI existing in the first place (despite it being impossible to have been crated with human tech) and you have the going theory that what's actually happening in Area Zero is some wish granting Pokemon fucking around and the professor believing it to be time travel because that's exactly what they wished for.

The only one who says its time travel is the professor.

Because if they were actually there, any forays into Area Zero would have vindicated Heath's claims and he wouldn't have been considered a fraud. If you take your history class you find out people have been regularly going into Area Zero after Heath for years but can't find anything he talks about. The entire reason the professor builds a time machine in the first place is because they also don't find anything and come up with the future/past idea themselves (likely based off of the fact that they read the Occulture magazines, as Heath never actually mentions anything about time periods).
The only way this plot hole makes sense is if you have the Professor do something they never state they do, make the time machine work in ways it's never stated to work, and make the professor act extremely out of character, as they have no reason to doubt Heath or send a Pokemon back to Heath's time. It's an intentional, massive plothole that even Arven calls out in the postgame story.

Yeah, if you go to the professor's lighthouse lab where you fight Arven for the first time you can find one of the Occulture issues with their other research material.

Heath (and his team) made fake art and photos and people worked from there, at least for Tusk/Treads, we don't know if there are photos/art of other Paradoxes.

Irrelevant for Violet and doesn't make up for the plothole in Scarlet.
