Basically anything deep pink, so a good number of shinies. Just make sure to doublecheck a Dream or Heal ball wouldn't be better first.

I'm 50% for using it on super pink Pokemon and 50% for using it on any Pokemon I personally find very cute. I was lucky enough to play while duping was available and have given out Love Balls to anons in need to catch shinies or something.

In SwSh, Ball Guy gives you all the balls except the Fast Ball, and you have to collect apricorns and pray to RNG Jesus to get one with the Cram-o-Matic.

I actually think the heal ball works better for most, if not all of these. I never really liked how apricorn balls superseded the actual matching, as most of those have yellow accents too

The Love Ball was glitched in the FIRST generation it appeared.
It had a catch rate bonus of 8 when you used it on a pokemon with the SAME gender as yours.
