Pokémon has always been late to jump to the next console. B2W2 released a year after the 3DS came out, and they had to rush out LGPE so they wouldn't be 2 years late for the Switch.

Probs not. As far as we know there’s isn’t much in the way of a Switch successor right now and GF has to start development on the next gen very soon.

The switch is outdated to the point even GF have outdone it. The fact that SV runs and looks miles better on Emulator is proof that they build it for a superior hardware in mind.
