>>52868700i bought monster sanctuary and i really like it. id recommend it. the game even gives you shifted monsters to hunt for so monsters have 3 colors. theyre not like shinies so theyre not super rare or anything. they have skill trees you can unlock. theres boss monsters and you need 5 stars (how you perform) to get their eggs. i really enjoy the world. it was very fun and relaxing for me to explore it/solve the puzzles. combat does not just rely on super effective moves so the game actually made it worth it for me to use support monsters that build up shields and do burns/poison. evolution does not improve a monster overall. it just turns it into a different role from what i understand. my supporter would evolve into a damage dealer. the monster designs look okay. nothing special but not ugly. instead of always coming up with random creatures they will put stuff like goblins and yetis into the game. the animations are nicely done. you can easily add new team members without grind because the eggs you hatch are close in level to your team. you dont have to put puzzle solving monsters in your team.
what i dont like is that the game has following monsters and you can use every monster you have for that (not just your team) BUT i usually end up having a flying monster or something else i need for a puzzle as my follower making it pretty pointless to me. you also dont build a bond with them through talking even though the game shows your first monster talking. i hated the quest of having to find fur cause it took way too long. i didnt put every monster i liked into my team cause it wasnt the right role but idk i just like balanced/harmonious teams.
you will have a team of 6 members but only 3 of them fight. all of them will gain exp. the game will let you play without stopping you every 3 secs with cutscenes but does not have much story.
id definitely recommend getting it for the steam sale price right now.
coromons look pretty hideous so i havent played it.
