Was thinking about these games last night. After playing Gen IV back then, they felt really fresh. The hype season was also amazing. The international release schedule for the games killed a decent chunk of Pokemon’s hype season.

It's literally Red and Blue but with more of those things, man. The designs are also ten times better than nu pokemon designs and are just cherrypicked to look bad. the dex is overall great.
