The only way this could possibly be good if is the voice actors were professional and not the usual western VA's that sound like awful garbage that went through a meat grinder and a trash compactor twice, and we know GF will never put that much money and effort into the games.

they get eat grating shit voice actors in their first year of voice acting to voice main characters for 150 episodes straight in the anime. games would be worse considering game freaks record

I don't really see the point. Very few voice actors can't beat my imagination. MAYBE just a few key cutscenes just to establish what they sound like, but beyond that I think it's totally unnecessary. JRPGs rarely benefit from voice-acting IMO.

That was most likely the case since that guy most likely just commissioned some people on Fiverr to do the lines.

It's not that the boogeymen cant imagine an internal voice, but how jarring the "cinematic" cutscenes are when a normal one would do just as well. Feels like they wanted the AAA artsy award winning moments but refused to go the full mile.

By this point they should have at least resorted to the occasional vocal sting, like how Zelda games handled it. They already stole the graphics from decade old games, might as well steal the concept of having characters say some indistinct 'Hey' when they start a conversation.
