>>52892531>I disagree, when I look at what is popular in the Alola side, and the way it goes down, it reflects perfectly with all discourse I have seen about the games since launch, while Galar already has widely divisive and outright disliked creatures in it's top 15,The only "divisive" creature there is Inteleon, nd that hate is largely condensed to a few people whenever it's even brought up. It's actually massively popular in Japan, so much so that it got one of those super large poseable plushies that only mega shillmons like Lucario have gotten as of late. It kinda seem like you've taken opinions only gleaned in a bubble and are trying to project them onto the greater fanbase to mask your inherent biases tbqhwyf
>features two monsters that are now very unpopular and were merely memes at the time of the pollYou're probably talking about Wooloo and Snom, and no, they're not unpopular, their popularity just dampened (and this is largely only for Wooloo too, I still regularly see Snom art or art that includes Snom in an ensemble, especially since Grusha has a Frosmoth on his team). If the poll was retaken now, they'd probably be lower (again, largely only Wooloo, I can see Snom maintaining a Top 10 spot), but they'd probably still be in respectable positions regardless.
>Literally everyone knows those two monsters are unpopular. No one is arguing against that, no one cares about that, the point is merely that Venusaur is at the bottom because of heavy competitionVenusaur is largely picked on for being the bastard child of the Kanto starters and it/Bulbasaur only tops polls in lieu of the other two when they're made in insular internet groups where people largely share the same opinions. Venusaur isn't unpopular, but it's popularity is incredibly understated in the Kanto dex as a whole, let alone compared to it's starter siblings. It only got around 500 more votes than fucking Magnemite, an ACTUAL meme Pokemon due to Gen 5 Join Avenue fuckery.
