I walk around with the same species of Pokemon that I know is XXL and try to compare it to what I'm hunting. It's a massive pain in the ass but I can't think of a better way to do it. Masquerain was just luck and I think even with Humungo Power 3, it's still pretty rare. No one has done the math from what I can tell. I think it locks one of the two rolls for level 1 giving you a 1/128 chance and I'd assume it just rises more the stronger the sandwich. I may just start catching everything and wonder trading the others, though. Comparing by eye is extremely tedious.

Hey again, /wfg/.
I was the anon that ask last thread for a super ditto to breed with.
I was polluting wonder trade with some lowbies when I happened to get a completely legit shiny italian level 100 ditto with what I'm assuming are fantastic IVs (since I haven't unlocked judge yet,) HA, and was also holding a Master Ball.
Now, I do try my best to not be a moron, which is why I'm writing this out.
Last thread, there was clear intent to send people with very tall orders to the injection threads, which is totally fine.
However, it did cause a tiny thought to form in my mind.
I know that GF over the years has cracked down on... suspicious pokemon, what with those stamps and whatnot.
Is there, by any chance, danger to using what I'm sure is a completely legal ditto with some weird url as its name to breed?
Just got this game, I don't want to wind up without a game or the inability to play online.

Also, if some kind souls has some leftover bred mons that they'll looking to find a new home, this anon's doors are usually open.

Wifi or anything like that, no not really, unless you try to get it into home. But using a ditto like that is often frowned upon for breeded trades. I had one and honestly just want to breed some of the other mons with it in an earlier gen again with a normal ditto, but thats just me

Nah, I get it. Ruins the spirit and all that.
I'm still in the early game, haven't even unlocked the ability to breed yet.
And from what I was looking up, as well as what I was told last thread, such measure honestly don't even seem that necessary anymore.
I'm not gonna try and replace my starter team with ubermensch, I actually want to get a feel for the new mons since it's a new game, after all.
But I'd be lying if I wasn't interested in getting at least one of my favorite mons into an ideal state early.
So I'll just set it in a corner somewhere until I've actually seen more of what the game has to offer.
Certainly not gonna bother with the Master Ball. My 3rd least favorite of the designs.

When I said I just started, I mean I JUST started Violet.
I got caught up trying to catch a good natured Fidough, and I sorta just got caught up in wonder trading garbage for some neat stuff.
Got a dream ball eevee and a beast ball heracross so far. Plus some HA starters.
Haven't seen a single quaxly yet.
Other than a concerning ditto, only mon so far that hasn't seemed to be on the up and up so far is an own temp rockruff.

Ouch. May just do level 2 to conserve herba from this point on. I'm guessing that's 1/96? Thanks for posting actual odds. Do you happen to know if back strikes still increase catch rate in this game? Even with 1hp and sleep, striking Slither from the front tends to escape from premier balls 50% of the time.

Both balls work, I use dream cause I like the pokeball set for the eevees in that pokeshort. Build depends on what stats you want, but you want some combination of calm mind, fake tears, hyper voice and/or hyperbeam for pixilate, draining kiss, and light screen

Almost have a full Living+FormDex, I just need the following:

>Sloking (Not desperate since I can get it in a raid battle.)

Don't care if they're foreign, injected or whatever.
But bonus points if they're all in standard normal Pokéballs since I only use Pokéballs to catch shit.

Things I can offer in trade:

>All the Apricon Balls + Dream Balls
Can't offer Koraidon as my gamer autism compels me to keep the box full and I can't put Ride-Koraidon in there.

If you just want to farm for the sake of farm (using the "2 any kind of Herba recipes") then do all 5+ stars you can encounter. If you need a specific Herba to stock up then do piñatas plus the corresponding specific Herba targets. At the end of the day it will all be left to the dice rolls unless some anon hosts with known rewards

Has anyone tried Shiny hunting Sandy Shocks? What was your technique? I've hunted every other Past Paradox mon and got 1-2 in a sandwich, but with this I've tried 3 sandwiches and found none. Worried I'm missing them as they're not that different visually

Yes! and I caught one.

I just made it a point to leap from the top fly across the bottom and scan it and fly past it to a ledge near a mountain just across from it to despawn the guys at the bottom of the rocky area so that when I fly back they would respawn

then I would climb back up, that was always a pain

Raids are such fucking bullshit solo, I can't count the number of times that I've completely depleted the enemy's health bar and then the game magically filled it up again so that it can terastalize and do bullshit moves to resist any damage for the rest of the fight. Hope these things don't return in the next gen.

I just finished getting what I thought was my last pokemon for the dex, but after checking I'm at 399/399

Every entry is filled.
I've checked once, twice, 9 times so far and yes I've confirmed everything is filled.

assuming it's for raids, people bring frail shit all the time, so taunt just get them killed faster
put fake tears too instead of hh, screens are good, but that last slot can just be used to change depending on the challenge, skill swap when the ability of the boss fucks you over, like defiant or moxie, for example

I think Size is not randomly distributed like that. It is two rolls to force it to trend toward the average; it rolls 0-127 and 0-128 and then adds them. Two 0s is the smallest and gets the mini mark and 255 is the jumbo mark.

I stuck with Shining/Title/Encounter Electric via:

>Green Pepper
>Red Pepper
>Yellow Pepper x2
>Bitter HM
>Spicy HM
And dropping the top loaf away from the sandwich.
If you're trying to spawn a certain mon/type only, I believe Encounter is a must, and I think Title is forced if using HMs to get Shining power 3.

use Grass, it covers all of Fire's weaknesses
Water is also a safe option, you only have to worry about Electric types but you lose out on being able to hit Water types
Steel is never a bad choice but as a Dark type you're still getting hit by Fighting
