>>52897216Mostly because it stays as Nuzleaf for 5 gyms in its home region, with two of those gyms having a type specialization that greatly disadvantages Grass- and Dark-types (Brawly, Flannery). And, obviously, it can't really deal with Team Magma, so if you traded it over to Ruby or are playing Emerald it'll be an even worse time for the dude. On the other hand, Lombre can deal with Brawly just fine, and has a secondary Water-typing that can help it deal with Flannery before it's eventually fucked by Winona as a Ludicolo. But hey, both of them are pretty good late-game!
