>>52896056>>52887352The projection! The goalpost-moving! The narcissism! Speeding through downtime is something people do to get to the next part of a game that's hopefully worth playing at its intended speed. If a shit part of a game can be sped through at 600%, and nothing of value is lost, it deserves to be sped through. It occupies precisely as much time and intellectual energy as it deserves to.
Running back and forth between the Pokemon center, grinding, you look retarded for trying to argue that this downtime deserves to occupy my time. You look narcissistic and delusional when you try to stop me from speeding through parts you should have sped up for the player.
If you want me to think when playing your game, write something that's worth thinking about. I'm still thinking about Arcane, it was a good show. I'm not still thinking about The Last Of Us 2, everything worth saying about its story has been said. If you want me to think while overcoming the obstacles you created in your game, make obstacles that require serious thought to overcome. If you make your game take longer to play, this isn't magically making me think more about your game. It's making me wonder why you're insecure enough to feel the need to try and take something away from the emulated gaming experience.
Design your game better and nobody will care that your game doesn't have a built-in speed up button.
