aside from a few (3 or 4) sudden crashes in 100 hours of gameplay (mitigate that by actually saving regularly) i didn't see a single major glitch in my whole playthrough, but i'll give you that.

these games are up there with g/s, hg/ss and gen v

and why does an open-world design necessarily mean you can’t have a cartoony art style? quit thinking things can only be Witcher, Skyrim, or BoTW. open-world is just a game design decision, pokemon without any arbitrary roadblocks like a pack of psyduck conveniently blocking the road.

Sad, but true. They haven't said a single thing about doing anything for the game's performance whatsoever. If memory serves, Gamefreak even said something to the effect of "we understand a few people are having problems, but that never came up in testing".

Nintendo mumbled something about being disappointed, but that was it.
