I brought another 3DS for this reason.

>Brought another SD card
>Downloaded Pokebank
>can't download poketransport because I need to but a pass
>can't buy a pass because eshop/cards cards won't work anymore
>Bank will be free in March but Eshop closed down same month too

Remember to download all updates for games you own, as if your save was saved in version 1.5, it won't load without that update
I'm not sure if it's just pokemon that does this

I give it another full year... but Pokemon fans are fucking crazy. The WAD for My Pokemon Ranch and fan servers for Mario Kart Wii being common downloads make me think someone will make their own transfer software in no time
