I was ready to write off Arven completely when I met him as just some dork who likes silly picnic gimmick. But once he revealed what his journey was really for, I was on board. Guy loves his Pokemon, and I felt like it wasn't unlike how a real person would try anything for their beloved pet. He has his other issues too, and he's kind of a useless dork still, but they won me over. His motivations are good.
Penny... She's interesting. Her presence is a little too short, but I don't dislike her concept.
