Literal blob, circle, almost no features (Ditto, Milcery, Pyukumuku)
>In-Training
Still blobby and chibi but with slightly more features (Oddish, Poliwag, Budew)
>Rookie
Akin to a 2nd stage starter, tiny, fully formed yet simple (Dewott, Corvisquire, Sneasel)
>Champion
Makes a big jump, not gradual at all, becomes a big and proper monster, almost never humanoid (Arcanine, Drapion, Krookodile)
>Ultimate
This can go two ways, either it doubles down on the previous beast and repeats it except bigger and bulkier, or it becomes humanoid (so an Arcanine could become an Entei or an Incineroar)
>Mega
This can go three ways: become a holy being/knight or a huge ass mecha (sometimes it's literally just a human cosplaying, or it's at least humanoid-ish/bipedal), or become a beautiful sacred beast like a dragon or whale
