Can I seriously not get Great Tusk until I've beaten the whole game? I didn't even think you could catch Titans because the Pokeball symbol is never visible so I guess I missed my only chance?

After one in-game day you can go back to where you first encountered the titan, and it will be waiting for you. You have ONE(1) shot at catching it though.

There's a special Great Tusk in the desert after you beat the Titan. Go back to where the titan fight was and you get a static Great Tusk encounter that has a former titan mark.
