Because imagine the devastation if Shelter both raised her defense by 2 stages while also boosting evasion or lowering accuracy. Imagine. Had to be nerfed and Gayfreak isn't good at being imaginative so they had no alternative.

i don't play because i didn't buy the game. are bulky mons with healing moves less favorable since the PP nerf? Is it worth running Ass Vest if you can't use a Roost Kleavor, or is Roost no longer worth using to begin with?

Game Freak clearly tried to make is successful. It’s has a lot going for it. but it’s kind of what >>52917427 said, the other offensive Grass/Fighting types are more inmedialy powerful and Chestnaught better at a defensive role.
However, H, Owl has its broken sig move, and a few utility moves to help it stand out, but I doubt it will even be UU with how powercrept and minmaxed everything is. But it do see it being except whereever it does end up,

Pretty good, but the Pokemon that used it had other good things to make it worth using last gen (mostly Clefairy and Togekiss). This gen it has a really limited distribution and everything hits so hard that it doesn't have much benefit

I suppose you can only go so far as a starter anyway unless you have a busted ability like Protean or Speed Boost, and when Game Freak almost always insists on wasting base stats on making starters mixed attackers.

Doesn't matter to me. I'm going to be running two types of hisuian decidueye. A brave trick room team And a tailwind team. I've been testing moves with a 30% flinch rates just to get an idea on how good triple arrows might be and ngl I'm impressed with what I've seen so far especially if you paralyzed your opponents.

You do remember that it's bulkier then both of them, right? They have their roles but decidueye is the only one who can hit ghost types as well and not much things can switch into triple arrows and survive the follow up sucker punch or shadow sneak

But with a crit it hits just as hard not to mention the additional effects. If something survived triple arrows ones it means def drop will make more vulnerable to the next hit cc with triple arrows sounds good too now thinking about it
