I never tried the one-shot build, I'm sure there's Youtube videos out there to show it off, but I ran Slack Off and just dealt with setting up twice because I never felt like I had the time to get set up before the AI would pop the shield.
The real key to an easy solo was just getting an AI partner who could lower his attack after he starts setting up Bulk Ups, even just having Intimidate was enough (since it pops every time they die and come back) but if you got a really good one like Staraptor with Feather Dance he was totally neutered.
When it comes back around I might try running a support like that online since there's gonna be tons of people running Slowbro.
