Armarouge is a hard counter against Torkoal who spams fire moves all the time and retaliate back with strong special attacks.

He needs support though. Murkrow stops the Dondozo+Tatsugiri combo that laughs at Armarouge for example.

I thought Armarouge was going to be worse too since it was described as being defensive and Fire/Psychic has too many weaknesses for that to be good, but turns out it can deal a ton of damage with Expanding Force and set up sweeps with Weak Armor.

I’m really happy to see my bro doing well at tournaments, when Armarouge was revealed I knew he was my favorite.

Also very multifaceted; you can run your standard trick room, weak armor with or without weakness policy, choice scarf, wide guard, hell I’m running ally switch on my ladder team and it’s shenanigans what all Armarouge can do for a team!
