In a world of DLC, where they added each 200ish mons added to the Galar dex via each DLC to the game for free compatibility...
There is no reason beyond stupidity/incompetence to not patch in all the mons after release.

The problem is that GF fundamentally misunderstands the problem. People don't want 800 mon regional dexes. People don't want to catch all the pokemon in one game.
People want to be able to transfer their teams forward and keep them.
They don't need to exist in the wild.
They don't need dex entries.
They just need to be able to be extant.

Newsflash kid - people (as in the general audience for Pokémon games) don't CARE about "collecting them all", like we autistic dregs of society have done. They play Game, put it down and move onto next Game and Game Freak absolutely understand this (SS sold 25m copies, Home has 5m subscribers and was launched a year before SS were). That's why dexit happened and why it'll continue to be a thing - because you're neither important enough or compelling enough to make them heel to your wants.

Home literally just exists to store Pokemon you can't actively use and create a passive revenue stream for GF. Any Pokemon you can use you'd have on cart, not left to rot/get imprisoned (if there's more than 30) when you stop paying the subscription.
I've got a Shiny Plusle and Minun on there and the only fucking game they can be withdrawn in is BDSP so they're as good as stuck.

Not seeing your point as you need to spend money in the first place to store more than one box of Pokemon. As long as Pokemon storage is tied to cash, and dumb assholes like you pay for it, HOME always has a reason to exist, regardless of whether you pay for a sub or just one time "fees" of taking and leaving your Pokemon.

I was originally OK about the dex cut if it meant they could scale back some bullshit in the meta back when they introduced it in sword/shield, then they went and brought the fucking genies back as DLC.
