Maybe this is true of Maxie, but Archie is a complete fucking retard. It is outright stated he wants to destroy human civilization, at least in ORAS, but when it actually comes time to it they make up some lame excuse about how 'there's more rain than we expected' so suddenly he doesn't want to anymore
