Honestly all console games look pretty much the same to me since the PS3 era. That's why I never bothered with the ps4/ps5/xbone/xseries. I just upgraded my PC when needed. The switch isn't really different to me, the only reason I have one is because it was a gift. I admit I enjoy it, but I'm also a handheld idort, I have a DSLite, PSP3k, Vita, a NN3DS, and now a Switch. Compared to my PS3 -yes I still have it, it's a great Blu-ray player- my Vita, and my NN3DS the Switch looks fine. Most games I have for it run smoothly and properly. SMTV, BOTW, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, TWEWY, Legends Arceus all look and feel great. Hardware from 2015 is good if you optimize the os, coding, and applications, and the Switch OS and overall code is tight. The hardware is plenty for 720p upscaled to 1080p gaming also, so it must be the application. If the people who coded the software would have been cognizant of the limitations of the hardware then the software would be perfect. Game Freak chose not to do this. It's not the aged hardwares fault, it's the development staff's fault.
