Please for the love of God don't do this unless you have GOOD experience soldering. Retards have managed to break their carts and sometimes original consoles doing this. It's so much more convenient to use something like a GBxCart to just dump the save to your computer and return it to the cartridge after you safely replace the battery. Please do not be retarded.
If you still want to be a bastard and risk your Gameboy and cartridge, your best opportunity is on the original GBA and take off the back plastic shell of your GBA as well as the cartridge shell both front and back. You'll have to hook up the power with an external power source for the GBA; easiest cheap way is a simple 2 AA battery holder with alligator clip leads. You WILL melt one of the shells otherwise.
