While something like a Tyrannitar or Aggron would be neat, the daily cost of living for an 8 foot tall super-predator would undoubtedly be tremendous(Associated damages probs aren't covered by insurance either.)
Something like zoroark or lucario would be ideal, even if we subtract the horny from our thinking.
Reasonably sized, human-level intelligence, physically powerful, and capable of forming bonds so strong that it is noted in their respective pokedex entries.
