ITT New Move Ideas

OK folks, we all know Game Freak visits this board in secret. Let's give them our ideas for new moves that can help shape the meta or buff bad Pokemon. I'll start:

>Slide Tackle
Normal / Physical / 60bp
The user performs a sliding tackle that trips into the target, lowering their Speed (-1). On Grassy Terrain, this move gains +1 priority.

>Increase Resistance
Electric / Status
By increasing its electrical resistance, the user lowers its Speed (-1) and gains a permanent Charge status. The user is also Burned.

>Hot Sparks
Electric / Special / 80bp
The user grinds against something, producing sparks of electricity hot enough to Burn the target (30% chance). This move is Electric and Fire type simultaneously.

>Static Cling
Electric / Status
Using its electric charge, the user surrounds itself and its allies in a field of static electricity. This prevents the affected Pokemon from losing their items.

Forgot to explain my logic with these

>Slide Tackle
Normal needs more run-of-the-mill attacking moves and this one seemed like a solid move with a decent gimmick. Even if Normal sucks as an attacking type, sometimes it's nice for Normal-types to have more STAB options

>Increase Resistance
This was made with Pokemon like Guts Luxray in mind. Now that thing can be an absolute effing monster. Use this move once, slap a Life Orb on the thing, and go to town using your permanently charged Wild Charges at ridiculous power. You also get Trailblaze to patch up that Speed drop if you feel like it.

>Hot Sparks
In another thread somebody mentioned the Magnemite line needing a way to hit Steels after trapping with Magnet Pull. Well, here ya go. I didn't want it to be too strong though so I gave it the dual-typing gimmick, which means it isn't going to shut down all those Steel/Ground types but will still be a counter to other Steel-types you may trap. I didn't want it be too centralizing, after all

>Static Cling
Something stupid I've had the idea of for a while now. I'm tired of Knock Off being so omnipresent and this is a good way to avoid that plus stop crap like Trick strategies. Gimmicky and situational at best

Flying / Status
The user creates a cushion of air in front of themselves, reducing the damage of the next incoming attack by 25%. Stays up until the user is attacked and does remain up after switching out, similar to Reflect and Light Screen. This gives Flying types (like Murkrow) a stupid but fun way to put up their own pseudo-screen, even it only lasts for one hit.

>Quill Darts
Flying / Physical / 20bp / Hits 2-5 times
The user launches sharp feathers or quills at the target, hitting them 2-5 times in a row. Flying now has their own Bullet Seed/Icicle Spear/Rock Blast, but the damage is slightly lower since Flying doesn't have as many things that resist it.

>Body Check
Fighting / Physical / 80bp
Launching a full body charge, the user attempts to shove and crumple the target. Has a 30% chance to flinch the target and a 10% chance to lower Defense. Just another basic ass Fighting type move. This might be good, idk. I didn't think the secondary effects through very much.

>Polar Plunge
Ice / Physical / 50bp
By sliding on a thin layer of the ice, the user slides directly into the target to deal damage. This also raises the user's Speed +1. Just a retyped Flame Charge/Trailblaze. This wouldn't be on every Ice-type, but enough to make some of them a little more viable. Eiscue, Walrein, Beartic and Cetitan all come to mind for this move.

>Snow Plow
Ice / Physical / 60bp
The user gets low to the ground and drives a pile of snow right into the target. If there are hazards on the user's side of the field, the user clears them and the power of this move is doubled. This move just sounds badass as hell. H-Avalugg sucks but I just want to see it using this move. Something like Cetitan could be fun with this too, giving it a mix of utility and raw damage.

I almost feel like this should clear the opponent's hazards too but also deal double damage. I don't know. If the idea is you're piling all that shit onto their side of the field and dealing more damage, it doesn't logic out that your hazards on their side would "survive." Not sure what sounds more fun and or busted

Signature move of Eternatus, also given to Coalossal, Weezing, and a few other poison or explosive mons.

Artillery
Steel type, Physical
120 BP
100 acc
10 pp
The user fires a powerful shell high into the air. It comes down two turns later, hitting the opponent's side of the field. This move is blocked by Bulletproof.
Signature move of Octillery, mons with Mega Launcher and mechanical mons like Iron Thorns and Duraludon also learn it.

Nostalgia Wave, any Pokemon with Pokedex number 1 to 151 entering the field whilst Nostalgia Wave is active receives +1 attack/sp. attack on entry. Can be cleared by any terrain removal method.

Dark/ Stat boosting move
The user huddles together with its partners and glares at the opponent, this boosts the users attack and lowers the opponents. Can only be used in either a double battle or by Pokémon with more than one head/body (I.e dugtrio, Magneton, Fallinks)

>Ghostly Contract (not sure on the name, basically selling your soul)
Ghost/ Status
The user makes a deal with otherworldly spirits that maximises attack and Special Attack, the user will faint after 3 turns and can no longer be switched out

User violently shakes off the water accumulated on it's leaves/petals covering the field in water. The attack prevents burns from occuring for all Pokemon on the field, sets up water sport and negates the use of powder/explosion based attacks for the duration of effect (4turns).

>Tag In
Fighting/Status
User tags in a partner to take its place and partner delivers a blow on entry. When move is used and new Pokemon enters, a random fighting or dark attack is used from allies movelist. If they lack a move of either type they attack with a 30bp typeless attack instead.

>Sinkhole
Ground/Physical/50bp
User pulverizes the ground causing it to sink in. The attack causes an effect of reducing the power of all ground type attacks by half for 1 turn and removes the field of any hazards.

>Hazardous Fumes
Poison/status
User releases a noxious gas from its body causing terrible illness. Inflicts badly poison status to all Pokemon on the field. Deals 1/12th of HP per turn to any Pokemon who isn't poison type, have immunity ability or poison heal ability. Duration 5 turns. Any Pokemon who enters the field while move is active is badly poisoned too.

Type: Steel Cetegory: Status PP: 5(8)
The user places a Battle Standard on their side of the field, increasing the Atk and Def of all Pokemon on the user's side by 50%. If 2 or more Pokemon on the user's side faint within 2 turns, the Battle Standard will be "stolen" and placed on the foe's side.

>Beacon
Type: Electric Category Status: PP: 5(8)
The user places a Beacon on their side of the field, increasing the Sp.A and Sp.D of all Pokemon on the user's side by 50%. If 2 or more Pokemon on the user's side faint within 2 turns, the Beacon will be "stolen" and placed on the foe's side.

If Beacon is used while a Battle Standard is active on the same side, the Battle Standard will be replaced by the Beacon, and vice verse.

If a Beacon or Battle Standard is stolen, and the stealers already have a Battle Standard or Beacon, all Pokemon on that side of the field will be healed by 50% and the opponent's Beacon or Standard will be removed.

Moves like Brick Break or Raging Bull will remove these effects, and moves, abilities, or items could be added that affects these, such as:

Ambush

Hawking Effect
If this Pokemon is paralyzed, it's special attack and defence are doubled

Food Poisoning
If this pokemon is active, the effects of berries or leftovers are reversed. (Leftovers deal damage each turn, pinch berries lower a stat)

User rams through opponent at a fast speed. Damage is dependent on weight of user and opponent. (So basically low kick in reverse).

Attack type changes depending on first typing of Pokemon (ex: Beedrill Bug/Poison will have a bug type attack when using this move). User atk stat increases by 2 stages before attack deals damage, afterwards all stats decrease by 2 stages (attack decreases by 4 to negate stat increase from attack).

More moves like sucker punch in other types, they are on a spree of giving every pokemon flare blitz but X type now, and dipping into close combat clones in X type like armor cannon.
But make it in types that need help.
