>>52989315You're the one coping. All games get some level of criticism. Most Johto fans
>>52960478 aren't denying that Johto games have flaws. Its that the general consensus by most Pokemon fans (ones who actually played the games) was despite the flaws GSC were amazing and their remakes are among the best games in the franchise. The only reason Johto is getting so much hate now is due to lazy "content" creators using it as a convenient scapegoat. Johto doesn't have the luxury of being the First Region so Game Freak and TPC don't put it on a pedestal like Kanto, meaning the average new fan is easily misled about the Johto games. This is why you have underaged anons who think that Kanto was the selling point of GSC and not a surprise that only worked because Johto was a full region that had already provided a satisfying experience in on itself.
Lets look are these game ruining flaws
Level curve: I agree with this, but its a silly complaint when the best strategy for every Pokemon game is to just steamroll everything with your starter
Pryce being weaker than Jasmine: Literally just fight him before Jasmine, problem solved
Johto being small: Reminder that Johto was so content dense that it couldn't fit on the cartridge, which is why Iwata had to bail game freak out. Also fixed in HGSS
Kanto is barren: Even if there were space parts of Kanto were probably too glitched to add.
No postgame: a flat-out lie. GSC is the first Pokemon game to even attempt to have postgame. Even if you don't consider Kanto Post game, theres also teh battle tower.
Babymons: universally hated no argument here
Team Rocket is lame: Most villain teams incompetent, badly written, full mostly of underleveled grunts using shitmons.
Only flaw that people noticed when the games released was Gen 2 Pokemon not showing up more often and certain Gen2 Pokemon being Kanto exclusive (which is only considered a flaw because people like the Gen2 Pokemon and want to see them and use them)
