The people using AI to draw their OC's aren't the ones who are commissioning art. So unfortunately they'll survive off of the goblins who commission them. Commission goblins don't get that addictive dopamine hit from having their OC drawn, the hit comes from their favourite artist drawing their OC. "Oh my gosh I'm such a great person supporting my favourite artist!"
Thing is, these artists know it. They're just using the AI art controversy as a sympathy tool to get likes/retweets/etc.

Nah not anymore, just checked in on a few that I "liked" back in the day when I saw people on other boards mocking that youtube artist that broke down in tears.
