Trade evolutions are trash, and it's not even a question of availability. The inherent design flaw of a Pokemon that can just be immediately evolved twice when you hit the middle evolution's level is inherently shit. Stone evolutions are a close second, although those at least make sense regarding waiting for a specific level because you ALWAYS have the means to evolve them the exact moment you hit that exact level.
