The only pokemon game that I have ever finished is Moon, and that sounds pathetic enough, I'll be changing that. I am going to finish every single main game, from gen 1 all the way to gen 9, I won't move to the next one until I beat the elite four in each respectively. Anything I should know before starting this challenge?

Realistically there's not much reason to play gen 1, 2, or RSE when remakes exist, other than historical value.
Could make an argument for FRLG and DPPt, but LGPE and BDSP are harder to reccomend.

Good for you. Though Pokémon only gets fun after you've seen the credits, the main campaigns are just slogs.

Other versions are either redundant or don't have much historical value.

You can play PLA either at the beginning or at the end for an extra bonus. I'd reccomend playing it after SV because it feels like it was released after SV.

You've already failed because in some game, beating the E4 does not equal the end of the game.
Gen 2 games go until Red, end of.

The Gen 4 engine alone makes BDSP better, not even going to name the QoL improvements. Sorry there's no special wallpaper in the eterna building and the late game hallway tho. It's literally a better game.

The last current gen (at the time) games I EVER played were X and Y. Am I missing on something (aside from the Rayquaza vs Deoxys episode from ORAS that looked cool as fuck.) I mean, almost ten years have passed since.
