Why is Gamefreak so bad about giving out new eeveelutions? Last one was Sylveon and that was in gen VI to introduce fairy types.

A pokemon evolving into 18 different types is pretty nuts if you think about it. Then GF would have to worry about backlash if they cut 18 of those eeveelutions out. Might not be pumping new ones out for a reason
