Whole Journeys feels like badly written fanfic. Characters just do stuff but it feels pointless because they make pointless choices. The lack of solid well thought battles hurts the most

So you agree? Cynthia is weaker than Leon. His weakest Pokemon (Rillaboom) which got taken out by non Champion Alain, took out two of Ash's Pokemon and and five of Diantha's. There is half of Cynthia's team that's significantly weaker than her other half including her second longest Pokemon Miolotic. You agree right?

All characters got something good. So no one should complain.

Cynthia was confirmed > Leon and she was the only non-Ash champion with more than 1 gimmick, affected by the silly rule .. Spiritomb strats also put others to shame
Diantha beat Lance and hung out with Cynthia, boosting her popularity
Leon looked ok, but jobbed pretty badly by the end to an NFE (Cinder-ACK)

Lance and Alain got it the worst
