Maybe you should've used the other mons because Samurott with Megahorn fucking SHITS on Grass checks and Electric types are rarer on average than fucking Fire types in Gen 4 so you never have to worry about T-bolt.
If this is just talking about aesthetics then you're literally just shitposting opinions as fact when you can just make a thread saying "let's talk about what we like/dislike about the starters."

I honestly refuse to believe anyone would like Gen 4 if it didn't come out in that sweetspot where a ton of younger people were playing Pokemon for the first time, everyone in my age group says DP was their first games, meanwhile I started with a used copy of Yellow version and played all the gens sequentially. Sinnoh sucked and the starters are ass.

The starters are ass? No. The gen 4 set of starters are very fun to use. I can't really think of any other that's as nice to use in a casual playthrough. Maybe gen 1 because of leech seed and toxic Venusaur.

I noticed this too, only problem is Hisui has two mammals as well and are the strongest trio since OP even if they're recycled.

This is the truth, i don't know anybody who has D/P/Pt as their favorite game because most old players moved on to others things at that time. D/P very long and dry hype season is exactly when people started to hate on newer designs and describing them as Digimon rejects. At that time there was like 5 people that were playing D/P where i lived and they didn't liked it, got back to FR/LG and Emerald shortly after that.

I started with yellow, then silver, ruby, then platinum. Platinum and soulsilver were amazing games. Chimchar is a faggot starter though, fuck all the fire starters from gen4 on. The fennec would've been ok if they didn't just make it unimaginative anthro

I love the Infernape line. Why do people hate it?

I started with Red, but I think gen 4 was the last great gen. Sinnoh is awesome and the gen 2 remakes might be the best games in the series.
